Carleton graduates in building engineering-related areas have obtained prestigious positions in major engineering companies as building scientists, energy modellers, sustainability consultants, restoration and retrofit experts for heritage buildings, digital and advanced computational modelling specialists, and fire safety engineers. In addition, many of our graduates are employed in the public sector including but not limited to the federal government departments such as the National Research Council, Natural Resources Canada, Public Services and Procurement Canada, municipalities (e.g., City of Ottawa), and utilities (e.g., Hydro Ottawa).
