At Carleton we believe in providing you with the services and resources you need to succeed in your studies. Our friendly faculty and staff are able to offer assistance through many student support services.
Graduate Studies
We oversee the delivery of graduate programs at Carleton and are responsible for ensuring the success of all graduate students. In the Office of Graduate Studies, you have access to the Associate Vice-Provost (Graduate Student Affairs) who can provide assistance on academic integrity offenses and intellectual property matters. Should you have any questions or concerns relating to graduate student services or have questions about adjusting to your life in Canada, you are welcome to contact Graduate Studies.
International Student Services Office (ISSO)
The ISSO supports student success and contributes to the positive international experience by administering the mandatory University Health Insurance Program (UHIP), providing individual advising or counselling, developing complementary academic support programs, and hosting orientation sessions for international graduate students. They also offer numerous events throughout the academic year to introduce you to Ottawa and to fellow students from Canada and around the world.
Health and Counselling Services
Carleton’s health care facility provides medical, counselling and health promotion and education services to Carleton’s students, faculty and staff. In addition, Carleton has an International Student Counsellor on staff to provide special assistance to international students. Along with area hospitals, Carleton’s Health and Counselling Services will accept your UHIP card as payment for medical services.
Other Services for Grad Students
Carleton offers a number of other support services for all grad students to help ease your transition to graduate school, support you while you are here, and help set you up for success when you graduate. More.
